It could be easy to fall through the cracks in a 1,000+-person church like North River Church of Christ in Marietta, GA.
But according to North River’s worship leader and media manager Chase Mackintosh, “shepherding the flock” is arguably the most important part of leading a church.
That’s why North River is committed to pastoring every member of their community through all stages in life. Though the church has grown tremendously since its start in 2005, it continues to have a family feel.
“We…get smaller as we get larger,” explains Chase.
Part of their strategy for helping to remain unified and connected is Elvanto–a church management system under the Tithely umbrella.
Elvanto’s advanced contact database solution allows church leadership at North River to keep track of their members with more than just basic information. Their advanced tagging feature, for example, provides a way to zero in on certain demographics of the church or people that live in specific parts of the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.
“[Tagging] has helped us figure out how we can support small groups and geographic communities, and get people connected so that we are getting tighter as we continue to grow,” explains Chase.
With the help of Elvanto, the leadership stays informed of key information like members moving or getting baptized.
“We know where everyone is…we can see how many people have been added, or how many people have moved out,” says Chase.
Elvanto also helps North River Church make sure that members are being connected with small groups as they make major transitions.
“We’re able to follow people at different life stages, so that they can easily connect with mentors and community group leaders,” says Chase. “We can use Elvanto to see information like where someone is going to college after they graduate. When they graduate, we can see where they’ll go after that.”
Ultimately, Elvanto provides the tools that North River Church needs to continue making Christ-centered connection a priority in their community. To learn more about Elvanto, click here.
